For reference, my truck weighs about 3750 lbs.

That's an '85 Xtra Cab with 4.3l V6, 700R4, 33 BFGs.......plus
maybe 60-70 lbs on onboard tools, spares, fluids.

When I first bought mine used from the dealer, they made me weigh it for
some strange reason before giving me plates: 1992 P/U, 22re, std
trans, 1/2 tank of gas, 31x10.5, American Racing steelies, no
plates......3310 lbs.

I dont know what my 85 4-Runner's stock curb weight is, but I know as
is now it tips the scale at right at 4000 Lbs (2tons). However I have
added quite a few non-stock Items including; Ramsey winch bumper and
winch, Smittybuilt rear bumper, 32 inch tires on 15x8 steel wheels, a
3 inch sus. lift (no sig. weight there), and an assortment of tools,
chains straps and other misc stuff.

I have a scale where I work and It measured 3900 lbs. empty for my truck.
This was before I added the grill guard, so you can now probably add
another 75 lbs. to that number.

My '84 4Runner weighs about 3,400 lbs stock. That's with full gas tank,
31" tires, and a few pounds of junk. My father used to run a scrap yard,
but their scale would only read +/- 20lbs.
