Well, it's real easy to replace the side glass if you've *ever* had the
door panel off , then you were 90% there.

- - remove the door panel (window crank, arm rest, handle, etc.)
- - remove the plastic liner.
- - remove the bolts holding (what was) the bottom edge of the glass
- - remove the metal bar that used to be on the bottom of the glass.
- - Buy glass from a junkyard or a local glass supplier
- - remove the weather stripping from the channels in the door (f&r)
- - you can now get the glass turned just right so it slides in.
- - bolt the bottom edge on
- - use silicone (or wd-40 if it's not available) lube up the channels,
    slide the weatherstripping down.
- - Replace the door plastic moisture barrier.
- - replace the door panel

that's it - should take much less than 1 hr if you know how to remove
your door panel.

P.S. Around here the glass places will come down in price a LOT if you
tell them a competetor has a better deal - i.e. windshield for my
'85 4-runner - $128 (they installed it!) - origional quotes from
$199 to 579 (OUCH!!)
